Anybody started preparing for Lvl III yet?

Is there an offer from Schweser , 1/2 now , 1/2 later for Lvl III notes ? If you don't pass Lvl II they give you Lvl II notes / practice exams instead , if you pay the other half.

If you pass you can upgrade to books / practice exams for Lvl III for the other half of the money.

I did that between Lvl I exam in December and Lvl I results in Jan end.

I got PDF copies of Schweser notes for Lvl II and upgraded to books/exams when Lvl I results came out.

No dude - I would advise against this.

The books by Schweser will be published in november and last year there were no pdfs

I think you're insane if you're starting to prepare now for another test, if you're not even sure you passed the prerequisite one. Just take this god-given time off and enjoy it. For 4 months a year we don't have to have CFA on the brain.

I wouldn't start studying for L3 or restudying for L2 until at least January. I'm still burnt out from the test a month ago. Trying to concentrate on my family and career for a while.

I have the CAIA L2 test in 10 weeks but I'm not going to start studying for at least 5 or 6 weeks. Still healing my neuroreceptors.

I'm taking the CAIA Level II in 10 weeks also ATH. My brain is so dead from the CFA Level II that it's hard to study for it. Fortunately the material is a bit easier than CFA, but still not a joke like CAIA Level I. Hope I have enough time.

Why don't you just breeze through your level I and II notes since the previous exams will act as foundations for level III. Remember, CFAI always emphasizes that each level builds up for the next. It would not hurt reviewing the fundamental concepts of the previous level. No need to memorize any of the details and formulas in this case.

i am already thru all of the books and will take first mock next weekend.

i wish i had the confidence to start on l3 - i'd probably be smarter to look at l2 to keep it fresh (thinking i'll be retaking)

but i need the break...
