Some highlights of the June 2009 lvl 1 exam

1. 3 Answer Choices
2. AM and PM almost similar in difficulty
3. More qualitative (personal opinion), making is easier to finish earlier
4. Exam considered to be easier by examinees
5. A lot of examinees (total registered)

So what are the predictions for

1. The pass mark for each section
2. The % of people passing

Btw, someone please clarify one thing for me. Suppose I scored 65% on FRA, but on average I scored 80%, will CFAI look into my Ethics score? Or do they only look into ethics if I score marginally below the pass marks on average?

Ethics is the bump, but its not a requirement per se. Also when people say its "more qualitative" don't go in with the preconception that you don't have to know a lot of the formulas. They seemed to test on the pretty mainstream stuff but there were a few that required some offbeat stuff. It's better off to learn everything for the sake of knowing it (that should be one of the reasons your taking it).
