NYSSA Meet? letters, already, waiting, experience

Anyone know when NYSSA meets? I'm waiting for them to approve my work experience - already been 30 days. I want to use the letters tooooo

Bring two versions to the interview...if you're legit by then, it might be a nice surprise, especially if they have already looked at your old version.

My interviewers always appreciated a fresh copy regardless of the reason; for some reason, they always seemed to have a thrice-faxed copy even though I e-mailed it to them.

it took them a LONG time to approve mine. More than 45 days in fact.

Jpm, did you notice that they addressed the letter to "Dear Member"....makes me think that they already approved us, just haven't gotten around to letting CFAI know.

jpm, i couldn't stand it anymore and decided to make a call over to NYSSA. The woman at NYSSA was very nice and understood that I was hoping this process could be completed before my interview this week.

2 hours later, w/ my wallet $475 lighter, i'd had the letters.

I thought you still had to wait for CFAI to send a formal notice (email) after the local society approval and payment of the dues.

I called CFAI once I paid both CFAI/NYSSA and saw my name as "PeteyPete, CFA" on the website after logging in. The guy said i was good to use the designation.
