Has anybody worked on a fixed income trading desk? I am trying to get some insight into a 'pricing analyst position.'

Is this a good position to start in for a level 2 candidate who want to get out of corp finance (3 years corp finance)? Are these guys the pools of talent that get promoted into trading? Is the work too mundane and repetitive? Or is it where the 'action' is at?

Any insights are much appreciated...
