Trader salary for this?

What do you reckon a trader at Merrill is likely to be earning, been at the firm as an associate and and advisor and worked their way up to trading? Ball park

For a friend

What kind of desk is it? For an associate-level trader, I would say lower range is high $100ks and upper range is in the $400ks. Of course, it *really* depends on which business you are in.

Salary as in base or all-in?

I'm also not sure what pay was beforehand but they may also try to low-ball your friend since they know his background (seen it happen as a 'cost of transition').

Bit more info:

Fixed Income associate level trader. 2nd year. Just a rough estimate.

1) Just wondering what a trader earned for one of the big firms. A friend of mine working for them in NYC.

His last post - he doesnt really have specifics. Thought his firm was looking to hire someone with this background.

You want to find you what he earns without him telling you?

Why don't you look on some job sites, seems obvious to me?
