Position Position Title: Accountant
Reports To ： China Close Controller, based in Singapore
Location ： Beijing, China
Responsibility ：
The purpose of this position is to facilitate the USGAAP required financial reporting of
results from China Wind JV entities to XXX China and Regional Singapore office. The
position will assist in developing and confirming the appropriate US GAAP applications
and interpretations, ensure compliance with XXX global financial policies and control
standards, assist in the proper reporting and recording of key accounting transactions
and play a key role to assist in the analysis of operational results. In addition this
position will also manage special projects including new entity assimilation into XXX,
related new entity Sarbanes Oxley control implementation and process improvement
initiatives. Reporting to the China Close Controller, based in Singapore and supporting
the JV CFOs, the role responsibilities include:
In charge of monthly close activities of all China Wind entities under US GAAP.
Coordinate with Joint Venture Finance, China Wind Operation and other relevant departments on all closing of books requirements.
Coordinate with China and Regional Singapore Office on all financial reporting requirements, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Analysis/review of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow for compliance with US GAAP including revenue recognition, financial statement classification and balance sheet integrity.
Review of monthly accounts schedules, analyses and reconciliations.
Perform Technical Accounting research and analysis, as needed.
Coordination with external auditors on accounting issues and audit requirements.
Provide information to the Regional FP&A team for monthly and quarterly reporting and to corporate for quarterly/annual SEC filings.
Interface with local accounting teams to ensure/achieve consistency in XXX Singapore reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and other Corporate initiatives as required.
Implement process and policy into newly acquired entities, often on site as required.
Requirements ?
CPA or Chartered Accountant license with US GAAP expertise and 2-5 years
of increasing financial responsibility.
'Big 4' and/or Fortune 500 Company experience preferred.
Ability to prepare financial reports, statements and projections as well as strong financial data analysis skill
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Mandarin.
Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
Ability to work within tight timeframes
Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility as priorities change.
Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently
Exposure to power industry an advantage
