GIPS.Disclosures requirements vs Presentations requirements disclosed, request, because, balance, latter

Hi,
Do you apply all disclosure requirements to all presentation situations? The latter (Standards 5.x) just seem to repeat a sub-set of Standards 4.x.
Is this because the balance of 4.x must simply be disclosed on request? How do the two interract?
