why do I need to buy Stalla or Schweser? official, material, concepts, practice, different

I have the official curriculum sent by the CFA. How does the Stalla or Schweser prep material add value beyond the official curriculum, other than giving practice tests?
Are the explanations better? Do they have more context or different concepts that the official guide doesn’t mention? Thanks.
