lifo reserve adjustment to balance sheet question....quite s balance, liability, reserve

If the lifo reserve is 112, and tax rate is 30% in an rising prices environment, in order to make the right adjustment to the balance sheet, do we just add 112 to the asset? but one of the answers in schweser shows that we should add 112 - 112x (0.3) instead because 112x (0.3) needs to be added to the liability as deferred tax liability…
humm, guys?, what do you guys think?
