Study Plan/Questions buying, developed, practice, studying

Hello all..
I just signed up for the CFA Level 1 for June 1, 2013, and have developed a study plan that I think will work:
Use the CFAI cirriculum  (approx. 3,600 pages!)  
Average of 30 hours of studying per week, and taking Tuesday and Friday nights off.
Total estimated study hours:  450
Taking practice exams on the 3 Saturdays leading up to the exam (5/11, 5/18, 5/25)
Spending the last week reviewing areas where I feel I’m deficient.
Questions:
Should I instead consider buying the Schweser notes system?  (Recommended by several I know)
How effective are study groups in local areas?  (I live near Seattle)
How effective are study prep courses?
Is there a recommended order for reading the different volumes of the CFAI materials?
Is my plan realistic?  If not, what changes should I consider making?
