59. A capital lease requires annual lease payments of $2,000 at the start of each year. Fair value of the leased equipment at inception of the lease is $10,000 and the implicit interest rate is 12 percent. If the present value of the lease payments equals the fair value of the equipment at the inception of the lease, the interest expense (in $) recorded by the lessee in the second year of the lease is closest to:
A. 960.
B. 1,104.
C. 1,200.
Answer: A

 

我认为第一年后的账面价值应该是：10000＋10000×12％－2000＝9200

第二年的利息费用：9200×12％＝1104，答案应该是B才对啊

 是A，
因为第一年是没有INTEREST 加在lease 上的
所以=10000-2000=8000
然后后面才是8000*12%=960.
这个lease和debt amotization很像，但是有点不一样

2楼不对吧，我觉得1楼的解答是正确的。答案应该错了。[em63]

  lease payments make at the start of the year, so the first year just take off the the full amount.

我认为第一年后的账面价值应该是：10000＋10000×12％－2000＝9200

第二年的利息费用：9200×12％＝1104，答案应该是B才对啊

我觉得二楼的对。 红字是重点。 第一年年初 该付的利息是 0。 第二年年初 该付的利息是 8000元，一年的利息。所以是8000X12％ ＝ 960。
