Someone to clarify to what each of this terms corresponds exactly ? and what if one refers to the 2nd decile or the 3rd quantile ?

Percentile: you divide your population or sample by 100%. So the 12 percentile is 12% and the 4th percentile is 4% ?

Quintile ?

Decile ?

Quantile ?

Quartile ?

Just know that quintile is 5, decile 10, quartile 4 percentile 100 and the mediane for the most common one

Quintile - divide population by 5

Decile - divide population by 10

Quantile - just refers to a point that you have used to divide up a population

Quartile - divide population by 4
