I'm at a non traditional employer for actuaries - there's only 2 of us here. There isn't any need (or demand) for me to finish it while I'm here. If at some point in the future my employer desires it (read: finances and rewards it), I'd consider it, but that won't happen here. I agree in general. And I think that between the 2 of us at my work, there is certainly a growing respect of actuarial cred. However, outside of the core insurance world actuaries aren't really known about which is why getting the CFA to compliment an actuarial designation is useful and becoming more common among actuaries.作者: smuggycfa 时间: 2011-9-25 23:05

Why can't you order new biz cards while you wait? Not like you don't know what it is going to look like. Obviously using them will be an ethics violation, but at my company at least it takes 4-6 weeks to actually get new cards. I ordered my new cards on the day I received the passing results and they should be arriving next week.
