Do we have to pay annual fees to the CFAI and our local society once we have our charter? Or is it just a 1 time fee to the CFAI and annual fees to our local society. I am trying to get everything together in case I passed L3. I appreciate any help with this.作者: luda002 时间: 2011-10-7 22:14
When you pay your yearly dues on the CFA website, it automatically includes both fees in the bill. I've heard of some people not renewing their local membership and still keeping their charter active, but that seems more like a loophole than the norm...and I can't say if it is true or not.作者: tobeornottobe 时间: 2011-10-7 22:16
Some local societies (NYSSA is one) require you to pay separately. I believe CFAI requires you to be a member of a local society to maintain you standing as a charterholder, but I have heard of a few folks "forgetting" to pay the local dues for a year or two and nothing happened to them.作者: wilslm 时间: 2011-10-7 22:18
So it sounds like the CFAI is the more important fee correct?作者: Zesty 时间: 2011-10-7 22:20
the local society fee is around 100, doesn't seem that much to me作者: tango_gs 时间: 2011-10-7 22:22
It is not necessary to join a local society to keep CFA active as long you pay the CFA fees. Got an email from them on this, though it could be just for CFA UK.
