My background is in equity trading. I have been out of the biz 5+ years. I currently own a small healthcare company..which I'm listing for sale. Just passed CFA level I & looking to re-enter equity trading field. (I know my timing sucks)
Anyhow, would it look foolish if I put "CFA level II candidate" at the top of my resume? I've searched through some of the other posts with suggestions to list this under education or certifications. However, since I'm removed the from field I'm afraid HR & hiring mangers may disregard my resume entirely since my most recent experience is not relevant.
Would listing my CFA candidacy at the top keep them interested or make me look like a tool for over valuing level I?
Thanks in advance for any sincere replies.作者: bleach 时间: 2011-10-12 05:52
I doubt that many equity traders or recruiters will care that you passed the L1 exam. Maybe you can put your "Trading experience" on the top of your resume, and then list your health care job under "Other experience" or something.作者: therecruit 时间: 2011-10-12 05:57
Very few traders have the CFA charter, and it's just not valued much in trading作者: defour44 时间: 2011-10-12 06:03
i think you would appeal to a healthcare equity research role... do you mind if i ask what locality interests you in terms of job-location?作者: bdavi77962 时间: 2011-10-12 06:08
Agreed with others
You want to return to equity trading, you put that on top... followed by your current health care experience.作者: ayaz_mahmud369 时间: 2011-10-12 06:14

I'm currently living in coastal North Carolina. I'm originally from New York. I would be in a position to relocate to NY or Charlotte/Raleigh on short notice.
