The recommended passing score to obtain on the actual exam is around 70%. The exact formula GARP uses is 75% of the top 5% of scores, so there will be a curve if the top 5% scores lower than 100% (which is likely). When taking practice exams, you should shoot for around 80%, just because conditions are more relaxed.

I found it way to high as well. But I think if the top 5% scorer only gets around 80-85%, we dont need 70% to pass. The GARP 2009 practice exams are much more difficult than Schweser....
