Off the CFA website: “Forward to your sponsors the e-mail you receive from CFA Institute containing the link to the online form your sponsors must complete”

Responsibility, tasks etc. Miniversion of your resume. Bullet points will do.
He/she will then get a call to verify the content e.g. check there’s a firm like this exist, what’s your shop doing and what do you do.

Thanks. I guess if the sponsor(s) are at my current workplace, they will only be confirming what I do there and not at my previous jobs? But they’ll prob have my whole job history contained in the online link, anyway?
