I remember in the past few years there was some exception to the rule of citing the source of data you use. For example, it said something like statistics/charts etc. from widely available financial publications like the FED do not have to be cited.

is this only in reference to pricing data or an interest rate etc? Anything like a study in the wall st journal must be cited, correct?
