I got my CFP before the CFA. Although it is not nearly as intense a curriculum, I'm a little surprised that 1 or 2 months of studying is sufficient. Unless you have so much experience doing financial planning that you know it all like the back of your hand. I don't know how you would study, either, without classes. Unlike the CFA, there isn't a published curriculum, but something similar to LOSs if I remember correctly. Good luck.
