Is the Schweser release scheduled for late October? first, only, scheduled, different, available

Hi Guys,
I’ve just booked the Schweser package for Level 2. I discovered that this material wil be available for late October. For the first level I didn’t have this problem because I enrolled in November. Did you know that the release was in October?
Does a different way exist to begin studying before? Would the only way be to study the official CFAI material?
