Does it help? Yeah because you learn about finance and wont look like a fool when asked to get to FCFF from EBITDA. But that is also like saying it helps a 15 year old Colombian student get a job at Goldman Sachs - it helps but to what end?

Keep in mind that it is not 1 test, it is 3 tests with a minimum of 1.5 years of studying. Its not something you just pick up and pass. Just passing 1 exam doesnt mean anything, nothing special happens after you pass except that you change your resume. The rest is up to you. That said if you really want to work in finance you can find a way.
