How much harder is CFA mock vs real thing? harder, difficult, different, previously, equivalent

So i just did the entire CFAI mock today and scored terribly: 61% am 53% pm
I scored in the low to mid 60s on both Elan mocks which I felt were a lot easier.
For the second timers how much different/easier is the real thing or is the difficult equivalent?

Also ethics section wtf?
I was crushing ethics questions in Elan, BSAS, and Kaplan but the questions I saw today dont bare any resemblance to what I'be previously seen.

Anyone in the same boat here?
