Margin Loan Accounts wonder, experience, investing, actually, popular

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if many people out there actually use a margin loan for equity investments? I'm from Sydney, Australia, and margin loans are quite common, even for people who don't necessarily have much experience investing.

I have found that this makes the margin loan section of the curriculum very easy, but was just wondering if they are as popular around the world?
