Hypothesis testing is NOT a pre-requisite for any other CFA L1 topic. So, dont worry if that was your concern.

Regression Analysis is not there in L1 (atleast it was not in L1 Quant for Jun 09), it is part of L2 Quant.

And also dont get too much worried, if you see yourself confused after your 1st reading. It is probably the same with most in their first readings.

I would suggest, do another reading if you have time now or come back later to it. And post specific questions on stuff you find confusing. I am sure there will be lot of help here as many would have completed their Quant readings.
