GMAT 800 (I think it's called that) was great for the tougher problems. In the end things just started clicking. You really need to understand how to handle all the types of questions. Sentence correction on the actual test is tough if you're not a pro because they just mash together all the different kinds of errors in a sentence.

For math my only suggestion is to not make stupid errors. The test is definitely a marathon, and they throw in plenty of chances for you to make little mistakes. So just slow down and think things through.

Sample tests are okay, but I think they're better for pacing and just getting used to it. Focus on problem sets to get better at the material rather than doing whole tests. You'll get very worn out. This is probably a change from you're CFA strategy; doing whole tests was pretty key there, as I'm sure you know. Congrats on taking the test in June, good luck with the results.
