The Theory of Active Portfolio Management only, understand, remember, material

Reading # 67, CFAI material has so many formulas to remember. After reading the chapter, I was not able to do many of the problems given at the EOC.
I feel very hard to understand and remember the things given in this reading. How are guys approaching this chapter?
EOC has only 3 questions, it took almost a day to finish.
