How I study,,, general, question, possible, anything, something

I usually just read through books taking small notes here and there, and then when I'm all done, I just do questions over and over like a machine.

I don't generally try to learn anything when I read through the stuff, just get a general understanding of the ideas and topics. I don't try to master it all.

Basically, my method of study is to just take as many questions as possible until I learn something.

My question is, Do you do this? What do you think about this type of plan for level 2? Have you tried this with level 2 and failed?
