The CFA books are excerpts from an undergrad text, so it has a lot more examples and such. It’s actually a pretty easy read! But if I’m pressed for time I would go only for the Schweser notes (I’m an Eco minor) and consult the CFA text for clarification of important/difficult concepts.
Concepts are much more important than calculations in the real exam so, it might pay off. Do the questions on both though!
