I went the CFA route because I'd like to get into analysis or possibly corporate finance and out of financial advising. I am also looking at an MBA or phD to restock my academic arsenal and then jump back into life in a few years. Financial advising is great, but not as stable as I'd like for the future. Just my thoughts. Also, CFA has just been a great learning experience and leaves you well rounded for a lot of finance jobs. Feel free to add any thoughts!
