这是在notes book 1里面 p 122 的 Example，原题如下：

suppose you hve a $ 1000 ordinary annuity earning an 8% return. How many annual end-of-year $ 150 withdrawls can be made?

notes上的解法如下

The number of years in the annuity can be determinedc by entering the three relevant variables and compting N

I/Y=8; PMT =150; Pv= -1000; CPT N=9.9 years


我不明白的地方是为什么1000美元可以当作present value?
