That really depends on the center you are at. At some locations (read as most of the location), they will strictly forbid and turn you away.
At my center in India, they checked throughly all the detail including the passport number, last name, first name.,and date of expiry as well. both sessions again and even during the papers like was mentioned at CFA website,
in my opinion it is good as it helps keep up the CFA standard and why we work so much towards the exam.
