CFA1 Curriculum Changes anything, question, studying, beyond, people

hello, i signed up for the Dec 08 exam but didnt really do anything for it beyond paying for teh books!
i now have more time and will take the Dec 09 exam. question: do people expect the curriculum to have changed significantly? if so, where are the likely areas?
i plan to start studying now using my 08 books, then sign up in a few months if i prove to myself im commited enough.

There isn’t a huge amount that’s changed, so if you do that plan you’ll be fine.
There is a list of changes they’ve made to the curriculum on the CFAI website I think.

I am using 2008 schweser to study for the June exam. There are some paragraphs added here and there, things eliminated. Financial statement seems to have the most change. I wouldn’t say you would fail if you study from the 2008 program. You can start studying ethics and quant for now because these haven’t changed and then use the new books to study the rest.
