Does anyone here serve on a NYSSA committee? interested, background, committee, attended, meetings

I was wondering if anyone here served on a NYSSA committee? I'm interested in joining the Value and Global Investing committees, but was curious as to what they look for in terms of background and such. I also want to know what is required in terms of time requirement, or if the meetings have to be attended in person. My current role requires me to travel up to 100%, so that kind of puts a damper on things.
