Value-driven activist hedge fund located in New York City seeking to add a Mid-Level Analyst who will be responsible for idea generation, evaluating investment opportunities, performing valuation analysis and financial modeling. The Fund is also open to hiring a Senior Analyst that can grow into a Portfolio Manager role.

We are a New York-based value-driven hedge fund with an 10-year track record in activist investing. The Fund invests in undervalued publicly traded companies with strong balance sheets and solid cash flows that we believe could appreciate significantly in value as a result of a change in corporate strategy or from various operational, financial or corporate governance improvements. While we have an excellent reputation in the industry and strong returns since inception, the Fund is currently in rebuild-mode, as we work to increase assets under management.
We are seeking to add a Mid-Level Analyst who will be responsible for idea generation, evaluating investment opportunities, performing valuation analysis and financial modeling, and assisting in the formulation of operating plans to help our investments unlock their value potential.

The candidate should possess strong corporate finance skills, financial modeling expertise and the ability to perform fundamental primary research and due diligence on small and mid-cap publicly-traded companies. Operating insight is a plus.

We will consider candidates with 4-8 years of total work experience, from the following backgrounds:

? Private Equity
? Investment Banking
? Sell-Side Research Analyst
? Fundamental Hedge Funds

Candidates must possess the following:

? A top undergraduate degree with a high GPA (an MBA from a top school is a plus)
? Strong communication skills and ability to communicate an investment idea to the team verbally and in writing
? Hard-working, intellectually curious, passionate and driven to succeed
? Diligent, responsible and self-motivated
? Team player is a must
? References required

The Fund is also open to hiring a Senior Analyst that can grow into a Portfolio Manager role. Such a candidate should have, in addition to the qualifications set forth above, experience in portfolio construction, risk management, shorting and hedging.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working at a dynamic, cutting-edge activist hedge fund with substantial upside potential. Initial cash compensation will be modest, but will increase as AUM expands. Equity may also be given to successful candidates.
