L1 result, advice needed

Greetings!

I wrote L1 in June and did not pass. I do intend to retake in June 2012 and allocate good amount of studying this time. Here is my score band for June exam, just curious to know which sections made me tank? My guess is FRA & Ethics.

Thanks a lot for your input!

wow I just noticed Quant and FI both had a larger weight than Equities. Econ actually tied equities. That seems surprising to me, typically Equities, FRA and Ethics are usu. the big 3.

There's not really one area you did horrible in, so if you boosted more effort across the board, you should be fine for next time

You were probably only a few questions away sorry dude.

Yeah, it sucks, but my own fault. Should have started studying earlier. All set for June though.

since you are in level 1, and the curriculum does not change between June and December - wasn't Dec 2011 a feasible exam for you to take?

i considered retaking it in december, but then realized im travelling a lot in the next 3 months, so kinda killed that option.

I'm going again in Dec 2011 and plan to review everything again and spend more time doing/reviewing mock exams and EOC questions. Thought I was really close probably got had by Ethics. It might not turn out bad if I pass and can get right into Level II, keeping the pace for 9 months straight will be a challenge.

Level 1: Fail

I know this has been mentioned but the December 2011 exam might be a good option even if you are going to be busy traveling. The material should still be relatively fresh in your head and you will be building on that base even with a more limited schedule over the next three months. You don't have a lot to lose; if you pass, you can jump into L2 and if you fail again, you can just pass it in June as you are planning on doing.

That makes sense to me. It sounds like you have really thought it through and know yourself well.
