Anyone here used Stalla videos?

How many lectures did Peter Olinto cover, and now that the exam is over, would you decide to use Stalla again?

I took the Level I exam, and thought Stalla was great for that, so I'm considering it again for Level II (assuming I passed).

I think Peter Olinto is Stalla's biggest selling point though, so it would be disappointing to hear if he isn't as involved in the lecture DVDs. I am not a fan at all of that new guy, Darren DeGraaf....he completely shirked his responsibility to teach the Equity section in Level I...the whole lecture is like 45 minutes, yet it's 10% of the exam. Also, he's weird and speaks like a robot.

Level 3 candidate here chiming in.. I did the Stalla videos for level 3 and they were horrible. Hetherington was the only decent one but the rest were worthless. I highly suggest skipping the stalla lecture videos for level 3, and using that money towards the 4-day boot camp provided by Creighton. The instructor Marc LeFabvre is awesome. He also teaches one of the 3-day Schweser courses but I'm not sure which one.

I like Stalla specifically Olinto and Hetherington whoever they introduced to do the PM stuff was AWFUL. I wanted to punch my screen just looking at him. If he features in L III I will probably not buy Stalla again

Stalla was Great for Level 1. yes fully agree with

" I think Hetherington is good also. Ben Jones is mediocre, but Degraaf is absolutely terrible"

but to me this test was to Screw the Prep providers for sure. I nailed the Mocks practice exams and even the CFAI Mock but the real deal was something else.

for this year most likely those who only used CFAI material would have shined the rest of us are jacked.

I would recommend stalla anytime but from this exam point of view. you need to back it up with CFAI material for sure.

Yes unfortunately Peter Olinto covered less this time in L2 as compared to last year's in L2 package.

+1, the lecture that Degraaf did was absolutely painful to watch

I used Stalla for Level II. Olinto is definitely the best and I think what really sells the Stalla program. I think Hetherington is good also. Ben Jones is mediocre, but Degraaf is absolutely terrible. He only did one lecture for Level II, so I am hoping they will not incorporate him into any more. Olinto covered a little less than one third of the lectures. I would recommend Stalla for Level II but I would recommend studying from the CFAI materials more than Stalla. I made the mistake of using too much Stalla and not enough CFAI. If I have to retake Level II, I won't make that mistake again.

I like Peter Olinto and David both. So yes I would use Stalla again but I would refer to CFA books a little more, too.

I think Passmaster was awful for preparation for Level II. I had a similar feeling last time with Qbank.

The content wasn't updated for a lot of LOSs testing things that weren't relevant (like bootstrapping)

Thankfully I focused my efforts on CFAI curriculum entirelly, I had the entire set of books for Stalla which I didn't even open, I went CFAI only and I hope it pays off

stalla videos were part of my study this year.

that darren degraaf mofo reads off something pre-edited infront of the screen and just pisses me off.

complete mofo, and doesn't have a neck.

on a more serious note,
I find that CFA 's mock and the real test are completely different than those practices Stalla offers.

regarding the passmaster, their questions are too repetitive and are not challenging at all.
