Fail more than 1 subject and pass?

Hello,
I tried using the search function but didn’t do much justice.
In any case, can I fail more than 1 subject (such as economics & derivatives) and still stand a chance of passing if I crushed bigger topics like FRA & Ethics?

Congratulations! We are very pleased to inform you that you passed the June 2012 Level II CFA exam. 42% of candidates passed the June 2012 Level II CFA exam

Hope this alleviates a bit of fear. You can pass with two subjects less than 50 and as Sens89 clearly said its dependant on MPS!

I can’t believe people still dont understand what MPS means. Can you hit the MPS and still fail two subjects? Of course. Lets assume the MPS is 70, as long as the two subjects you fail add to less than 30%, you can still pass! That is assuming you ace the remaining sections and you got zero on the two failed sections. Math is your friend!

Any proof? I”ve checked results threads and didn’t see anyone who posted their results pass with more than 1 subject as a fail.
