Passed L1. I think it took around 250 hours - watching Schweser online classes, doing tests and mocks. I have not read any books.
I studied Linguistics, long time ago did a basic 3 months accounting course (may be 2 times a week 1 hour), a Finance for non-professionals weekend executive course. That's pretty much it. Working in a Marketing Dept.

I keep getting told taht just a couple of months should do it, but I feel that it is not enough. I don't have the extensive background that you guys have. i feel like the 240 hrs is insufficient.
