A reading a day???

TOP

You're joking right...there are over 70 readings

Each reading should take you a day, each study session a week.

I just took the first test for Stalla over everything and scored a 73%. And also found that time was not nearly as big of an issue as I thought it would be. Although it was not easy and I have been studying hard for many months already I feel like I should not have scored that high. I cant help but think the real test will be harder. Does anyone else have insight into this who has used Stalla in the past?

My first exam was an 81%, which is very close to yours. I still reviewed pretty hard until the exam, but I passed very comfortably, with everything >70%.

So keep it up and you're looking very good.

I finished my readings earlier and I did couple of reviews of all the study sessions. I was gonna do another review before I started taking practice exams. But I did take a practice exam and found out how "pathetic" my preparation was. I did well in Quants and FRA but did pretty badly in everything else.

I am glad I took the practice exam. Instead of doing another review, I will focus on my weak points and do another exam this week. I agree with others who urge to take practice exams in advance. This will tell you where you stand. PLEASE DON'T BE DISCOURAGED!!!

Thanks!

Hi Estelilia,

If you do the end of chapter CFAI questions and end of chapter Schweser questions after each reading.

Do a CFAI sample when you have finished your first reading of the curriculum & then do a lot of Qbanks.

Do the Schweser exam & CFAI mock exams in the weeks coming up to exam day.

Best of luck, Soddy.

Hi all,

When should you take the Schweser exams? After each study session? I haven't gotten it yet. I am taking the practice exams after each chapter.

Thanks.

From my own experience, I thought taking practice exams one 3-hr exam at a time was better for me. I did about 12 practice exams from Schweser. Stalla and CFAI mock but I never took 2 3-hr on the same day during practice.

Schweser & Stalla practice exams are more lenghty/time consuming than actual exam because actual exams had less computation. I had plenty of time to finish the exams in both AM & PM sessions.

Schweser and/or Stalla practice exams definitely helped pointing out my weaker areas and helped me review those. If you score mid 70s to 80s in these practice exams, you should be fine.

Also CFAI mock exams were very helpful for June 09 L1. Make sure to spend enough time reviewing the quetions from CFAI mocks.

Do you know anyone who is scored 70% or above on Schweser exams but failed the actual CFA exam?

I am very curios about the accuracy of the Schweser test.
