I will probably be at home, but if it takes for ever like last year I will be in front of my desk…or who know, I can be on my way to work or in the parking lot…

have to commute to a remote work site for disaster recovery testing starting at 8am; client conference call at 10:30.  it’s shaping up to be a pretty rough day!

Dumb mistake on my part: I packed the day with internal activities in the morning, a client outing in the afternoon, and a dinner to top it all.
It seemed like a good idea at the time to make sure I would not wallow in self-pity if things don’t go my way. But now that results are merely hours away, I realize it’s incredibly unrealistic. No way I’ll be able to put up a good front if I fail. Even though I half expect it, it will still be a hard blow.
Oh well - better brush up on Stoicisim 101.

You all are still better off than Asians coz here in India we have to be in our office work with a restless mind and get back evening checking for the result atleast for you guys its in the morning the wait is long as its midnight here and tomo morning will make me crazy like anything….. Thanks CFAI for today’s sleepless night

I’d suggest that crying over the exam at work is more illuminating to Sr. Management on your upward mobility than passing or failing a level.  Limited ability to deal with stressful and perceived high stakes situations which is imperative depending on what capacity you are working in the industry.

I took vacation days from work for every results day. I still think it was the best avenue…if you fail you can wallow/drink it away early in the day and not have to deal with the world. If you pass you can celebrate all day and revel in it rather than having to refocus on work. I can’t imagine going back to normal in 15 minutes either way…so best to take the day and hope you are drinking champagne instead of whiskey by 10a.

Last winter for L1 I didn’t check until I got home at night. It wasn’t that hard to not check it at work because I’ve seen this girl burst out crying when she got her fail email during work, which taught me a lesson to never check at work. I’ll do it when I get home, in a safe environment where I can scream or cry or whatever and not feel bad. Then I’m heading to a weeklong biz trip so if I fail I don’t have to face my coworkers for a whole week.
The most annoying part is that everyone at work knows when results come out so I’ll be asked by a lot of ppl tomorrow… just want to be left alone.

i’m also considering not checking my e-mail all day and save it for when I get home around dinner time, but i’m pretty sure i’ll be way too anxious to hold off all day

you could be out in your car for hours dude.  what if you don’t get the result until like 11? at least TRY and be productive.  it might help take your mind off of it.
last resort - when you get the email run out of the room and into the hallway or out to your car and check it there.
