Gah, depressed complex, prepared, practice, little, things

So I've done countless EOC questions in CFAI. I've covered the whole curriculum in it, done plenty of practice exams and still don't feel remotely prepared. I'm going over the CFAI books with a fine tooth comb and there are SO many little things I don't know.

Not only that but I'm rubbish at most of the stuff in derivatives and using all the complex formulas therein.

Not that any of you care I just wanted to type it!

Same here minus the derivatives part. It's very unnerving knowing that you've been studying for 5+ months and still feel like you're not preparing..

This never used to happen on campus...

I have been studying for 6+ months and I still feel overwhelmed.

I think sometimes, ignorance is bliss. Its almost more comforting to start on May 1 and think since you've read Schweser and done a practice exam or 2, you are good to go. Those who have been at it for a long time may feel overwhelmed b/c they realize just how much material exists.

Who knows..but drk makes a good point, we are all in the same boat here.

The syllabus is huge and overwhelming, no doubt. Most of us are overwhelmed, nervous and exhausted at this point.

Just few more days and we will be over with this nightmare. Regardless of the results, we should be and would be satisfied that we tried hard.

That's so true, everyone is on the same boat, I can't even remember what I just review yesterday. Luck's gonna play a great role as there's no way we can remember all the little stuff in the curriculum. I just hope the exam is not too difficult, only then can I kill it.

The funny thing is if we feel this way (given the extraordinary amount of work put in by the majority of members here) how on earth do 40 odd percent of people pass!?

1st of all, I think half of the passed people are retakers. 2nd, I just hope that the exam questions may trigger our memory, then we can peak in the real deal.

There's just too much material to study and remember, I think the more you study, the more you realise how much you don't know/don't understand. I guess the best way now is to just go back and revise basic concepts to ensure you understand most, if not all the stuff.

Oooh, thats actually a GREAT idea. THAT's how I'll review tomorrow before taking my final practice test Thursday. I had totally forgotten about the secret sauce!
