I don't think my strategy works for others. In particular, every one has his own studying method, style and background.Anyway, my strategy is to practise as many questions as possible.

Generally,I skim the books once, and focus on the most important chapters. For example, in level 2, Pension fund, foreign exchange, new topics in ethics, etc, are expected to come out in exam.

Then, I just do as many questions as possible. In level 1, I did more than 10 mock exams (each at least 2 times). In level 2, I did all the mock exams available on internet, on sales, etc for three times). Of coz, have to refer to the books if in doubt.

You will find that starting from second time, you already memorize the answers. So, doing three times in fact is quick. And you should expect the same speed when taking the exam.

In level 1, I took one and half an hour to finish each exam. In afternoon, I left at 3:30pm.

The cons for my strategy is that I will surely miss out some minor parts. But, as long as I get an overall 70%, I am safe. Anyway, main parts still have to come out in exam.

I use this strategy for different exams and it works for me. In particular, I am working in one of the Big 4 and won;t have time to study so much.

In Jun 2007, I passed three ACCA code modules.
In Dec 2007, I passed FRM and CFA level 1.
In Jun 2008, I passed CFA level 2 and two part time master course exams.

In each exam, I achieved 70% on the average by using my strategy.

BUT, no life.
