Schweser Q 1853 Hyphotesis testing

If i am concerned whether a pupulation mean is 0.
My null hyphothesis should be ‘u’ not equal to 0.
My Alternative should be ‘u’ = 0 .
Am I correct or not?
Schweser answer seems to be the other way round.
I thought Null should always be the case where we are trying to reject?
Thanks for your help!

nope. schweser is right.
your alternate is what you are trying to prove in the hyp testing scenarios.
Your Null: mu=0
Alternate: mu 0 ( Not equal to)
Always remember  null contains the = sign.

Yes….mu seem to be always = 0 for the null.
I guess Schweser is right on that one.
What if I have case when I am concerned whether mu
Should my null be : mu >= ‘a’
and my alternative be : mu
