Margin Loan Accounts

wonder, experience, investing, actually, popular
Hi Guys,

Just wondering if many people out there actually use a margin loan for equity investments? I'm from Sydney, Australia, and margin loans are quite common, even for people who don't necessarily have much experience investing.

I have found that this makes the margin loan section of the curriculum very easy, but was just wondering if they are as popular around the world?

yes, people in the states trade on margin, but the brokerage firms require you to fill out a separate margin terms of agreement and you need to have a minimum account balance to even begin trading on margin.

I don't believe that is covered in the l1 though.
