CFAI materials OR Schweser notes?

some concepts seem to be slightly different.

i know i should read the books if i have more time.

however, i just started my preparation for the exam.

with only 6 months left, which should i rely on?

This topic will bring endless debate. I think either is ok, even for L3, as long as you put in the time. I used Schweser only. However most people recommend that you supplement it with questions from CFAI.

Schweser for the reading-challenged peeps

If by "reading-challenged" you mean people who don't like to spend a lot of time reading CFA material, then you would be correct. If you are confident in your ability to pass these exams and want to do so in the least amount of time possible, then Schweser is a wise choice.

people have passed/failed using only schweser/CFAI.

Choose any combination you want.

Is it just me or most of the CFAI materials are almost unreadable? There seems to be excessive footnotes and verbiages are excessively academic?

I agree 100%, but knowing CFAI I would rather have the comfort of going through their material at least once and leave no stone unturned.

NO EXCUSES
